Licenses

CineTracks offers two different licenses. A Simple/Indie License for all private or non-commercial projects and a Commercial License for all business related projects. What that means and what exactly you can do with those licenses is outlined below:

Simple / Indie

 

 

With our regular license you are allowed to use the music in any project, as long as it hasn’t a commercial purpose and you don’t have the intention to generate revenue from your project.

What you CAN DO with a regular license:

Personal use (Homevideos)
Wedding videos and Portraits
Photo slideshows
Podcasts (intro, outro, underscore, transitions)
Projects by Non-Profit-Organisations
Private websites
presentations (e.g. for school, education or professional purposes)
non-commercial film and theater applications
Apps & Games (mobile/desktop; free of charge and advertisements)
Indie films (festivals, online)
YouTube, Vimeo, etc. ( monetary assessment) where such a video channel is not offered commercially
Social Media Networks (Facebook, Twitter & Co.)

What you MUST NOT DO with a regular license:

projects that generate revenue
TV commercials
business websites
Reselling or sub-licensing the music
company trade marks (jingles, audio logo)
Using the content in an illegal way or in misconduct (racist, xenophobic, pornographic, graphic content).

NUMBER OF USES: Single (1 project, including all related content like trailers, cut downs, demos, etc.)
DISTRIBUTION: all media
TERRITORY: worldwide
TERM: Perpetual

Commercial License

If you are producing content for commercial purposes (TV commercials, business related projects, etc) the commercial license is the one you need.

What you CAN DO with a commercial license:

TV or radio productions (incl. documentaries)
talk shows and reality TV
Advertising, in particular commercials, company presentations and product videos
DVDs, CD-ROMs, USB sticks and other forms of data storage
Audio- and video streaming
Use of content in connection with applications and games (mobile/desktop) where these are offered at a charge or are financed by advertising.

Software

What you MUST NOT DO with a commercial license:

Main Themes in TV series or Movies
company trade marks (jingles, audio logos)
Reselling or sub-licensing the music
Using the content in an illegal way or in misconduct (racist, xenophobic, pornographic, graphic content).
